The design and construction of this 6,500 sf office suite relocated administrative offices from on-site LAX facilities to the sixth floor of LAWA’s Skyview Center property on West Century Boulevard. This project successfully relocated three LAWA divisions to this new suite on a tight schedule. These three division were moved from the original flight control tower at LAX. The tower’s certificate of occupancy was revoked and the fire marshal mandated that the building be evacuated. The project successfully relocated 3 divisions ahead of the fire marshal mandated deadline, into a completely renovated suite designed to LAWA standards.

The sixth floor construction project was the second phase of a multi-phase masterplan at LAX. The scope of CMA’s work included the masterplan for LAWA’s administrative offices campus wide. The Phase I masterplan relocated approximately 80,000 sf of administrative offices from on site LAX locations to off-site locations.  These relocations made way for the LAX automated people mover project. The relocation impacts multiple LAWA divisions, including its existing 100 fixed-seat board room.

CMA was the masterplan architect and the design architect for the tenant improvement project. The project was reviewed and approved through the City of Los Angeles. Construction approximately 60 days.
